Our School Day

Our day begins at 08:50 with Breakfast Club, which is an opportunity for pupils to start the day positively while enjoying eating together, developing social skills and preparing for a learning-focused day. During breakfast club, which is free of charge, pupils can choose from a selection of cereals or toast. We also provide water or milk.

The first lesson of the day is Personal Development followed by a short movement break. We then have Maths, after which there is an opportunity for a healthy snack and another short movement break. Our mid-morning lessons are English, reading and Core Skills.

Lunchtime is staggered in two sittings between 12:20-12:50 on Monday to Thursday and 12:45-13:15 on Friday. Pupils eat together in class groups in the hall, where they either bring in a packed lunch from home or have a hot meal (either purchased in advance or through the Local Authority's ‘Free School Meal’ scheme).

After lunch, pupils take part in our Learning Adventures which covers a range of subjects including; Science, PE, Computing, Personal Development, Design Technology, Art, Music, PHSE and Humanities.

School finishes at 14:35 on Monday–Thursday and 13:20 on Friday.

The school week is 27.5 hours in total.
